I follow Christ. I enjoy being a wife, and I am blessed abundantly with 7 children. I am living this life trying to learn, improve, and to love more.
I enjoy arts & crafts. I am constantly working (I mean, I get lazy and yet, I want to get better) at eating better, and I really love natural herbal nutritional healing.

I became inspired to be a birth doula after I gave birth to my last three children at home, after having had four hospital births. Two of those hospital births were cesarean, two of those hospital births were induced, and two of the home births were unattended. I have helped women since then to have births at the hospital and at their homes. I trained with ToLabor and serve the areas of Virginia near my locality of Petersburg, Colonial Heights, Chesterfield, Dinwiddie, Prince George, Richmond, and surrounding localities.
To be more personal, I am a Christian homeschooling mom to 7 children, ages 20 to 3, at the time of this writing. I realized when I became pregnant with my 5th child, that I had options for that birth. I studied and prayed ... I wondered why I had never known some of the facts about some of the procedures that took place during my first 4 births. I wondered why I had never thought to ask, to study, to consider what was happening, or what I could do differently. I think maybe, that God used those experiences to help shape me into the woman I am now. I am stronger, educated, and responsible. I was capable of continuing to have normal pregnancies and childbirths. I was passive before... but now, I am responsible.
I want to continuously build this web site, so the information is available to those women and men who are interested in learning about their options for childbirth. I hope to help people become aware of choices and decisions they are able to make, so that the journey to parenthood is empowering. Please keep checking back!
I would love to talk to you to discuss your individual needs and desires for your upcoming birth.
